Compare support units by the job your team is missing: control, amplification, economy, or flexible placement for the target mode.

What counts as support

The earlier ranking groups team buffs, debuffs, slowing, stagger, summons, economy, and flexible placement under support. Those effects cannot be compared by one damage number, so a lower-DPS unit can still be a core piece of a successful raid or objective lineup.

Read the note beside each group as a role cue, not a permanent power order. A slow or amplification effect can be exceptional on one map and much less valuable when waves approach from several directions.

Patch context matters most here

Creator testing in the earlier reports that Bioinsect lost damage-buff support value and that The Drink's multiple-copy stacking changed. Those reports are not official patch notes, but they explain why support recommendations can differ sharply between earlier.

Before building around a support, confirm the effect in the game client or an official post and test it with the units you actually own. That is more dependable than moving a name between tiers without a dated reason.
