Start with the highest DPS group for a carry, then compare its evolution, range, cost, and supporting units before spending resources.

Damage is not the whole team
The rows above preserve a damage-focused classification in the Update 1 guide. They do not measure currency generation, crowd control, buff uptime, lane coverage, or whether a unit unlocks a particular challenge strategy.
A player choosing a single raid carry can start here, but should still compare the unit's evolution state, upgrade cost, range, and matching support before spending rerolls or materials.
Guide notes
The earlier publications use different evaluation criteria. Some publish an overall letter list, while others split DPS and support or focus on a team build. Those different goals make a literal one-to-one comparison misleading.
The creator patch-test earlier also calls out Carrot, The Drink, Bioinsect, and Cubert as changed or re-evaluated. Check the patch-observation page when a familiar damage recommendation conflicts with your current client.
